Last day of the year 2008

Today is that last day of the year 2008, office is almost empty since many of them are on vacation. I am not in mood to do work today but still forcefully trying to work. I am getting lot of wishes from my friends about Happy New Year. I have sent wishes to them as well.
Each year comes and passes so soon before you realized it. Three years back I was waiting for 31st Dec badly since Ravikiran was coming to Bangalore from Finland after 6months. 2 years backs I was very tense. Last year we celebrated New year with our neighbor friends. Now I am in Finland thinking about past. Let me put all good things happened to me or good memories in 2008.

1. We bought our Cane furniture in Jan which I always wanted in my home.
2. We bought new house in September after a long struggle.
3. My Granny and my cousin visited my place for the first time.
4. My mom and Sagar came to Bangalore house for the first time after my marriage.
5. We celebrated our first marriage anniversary.
6. We got to meet our friends very often.
7. My uncle came to our house warming ceremony.
8. First time I traveled in Flight.
9. Visited Delhi.
10. Had been to Solapur.
11. Came to Finland.
12. Joined Nokia and same project as Ravikiran :-)
13. Got to see Autumn and SnowFall in Finland.
14. Visited Ravikiran´s native place.
15. Celebrated Ravikiran´s birthday.
16. Celebrated my Birthday in very special way with all decoration at my home.
17. Got new Mobile from Nokia after joining.
18.Celebrated Sagar´s birthday and visited Goa.
19. many more....

My Favourite movies

I started watching more Hindi and English movies when I shifted to Vijayanagar house where Dakshina, Lisa, Peenky and I used to stay together. It was one of the best time i have ever spent. I do miss all of them. Our day routine was morning prepare breakfast and get ready and go to office. Evening decide on dinner menu, do shopping for it and prepare it while watching serial. Have dinner while watching some good serials or movies. Each one of us used experiment on our cooking ;-) which was good. I used to have fun while preparing food. Almost everyday, atleast one of our friends used to visit our place. we use to borrow movies from our friends or from shops nearby.
I watched a lot of movies but the movies which I remember now and liked the most are
1. God must be Crazy - You can not believe that I watched all 3 parts on a single day and back to back. :)
2. Dor - First Hindi movie which I watched in Garuda mall.
3. Angoor :) Old but comedy movie
4. Beautiful Mind

After coming to Finland, we started watching a lot of movies as there was no TV :-(

My First snowfall

I always wanted to see snowfall. When I came to Finland I was waiting for the snowfall right from the beginning. I used to ask all possible questions about snowfall to Ravikiran. He used to tell me how difficult it is to walk on snow and about cold climate all.... which added more excitement to me.

On 21st Nov 2008, I saw my first snowfall in my life :) even though that day there was light snowfall but still I was very excited to see snow everywhere... I was imagining as if I sat in a freezer. It was dam cold outside. All trees, roads, garden were covered under snow. I could see the transition in the climate. Temp went to -3.5 C.

On 23rd Nov 2008, Again it started snowing but this time it was heavy and windy too. I could not dare to be outside that day. But in the evening we went out with our winter outfits which included winter jacket, muffler, winter trouser, thermal, hand gloves and cap and played for sometime in snow. Ravikiran had put his legs in the deep snow and in fact he was testing his winter outfits whether they works in snow or not... :-)) and they worked. I did not had proper winter shoes so I was little scared to put my legs in deep snow. But it was fun... If you have proper winter outfits then instead of worrying about winter; one will start enjoying the winter. I really appreciate the comment "Winter is matter of proper dressing" which one of our Finnish friend told to us. She is very positive about the winter and which I liked the most about her.

When snow fall starts it looks like God is soaking his cloths into washing tub with lot of soap and some of the soap bubbles fell down on earth. It´s a silly imagination but this thought came into my mind when I have seen that snowfall. Most of the time I used to go near window and use to watch people outside walking on snow and kids playing in the snow. Today while coming to office; I was just seeing each and everyplace which I know very well. Just wanted to see how it looks after snowfall. It gave me lot of pleasure.

Thanks to Ravikiran who fulfilled my dream "snowfall dream" :) Still there are many more dreams to go Ravikiran.

My first blog

Hi Friends,

I always enjoy reading my friend´s blogs and to know their thoughts and happenings in their life :-). So I thought that let me write something about my thoughts and share happenings in my life too. This is my first blog. Sorry, if you find some spelling mistakes or grammar mistakes in my blogs. but my friends says until and unless I try, I can not learn it so here I am.

Currently I am in Finland with my hubby and we are in same company and same team too. I always says that now we are back in college with pay. Staying at Finland is new experience to me. Everything is different here climate, people, language and of course office. Everybody should have some changes in life once in while so that life will become more interesting :) and one will get new way of looking at the world around us.

I will update you more on my thoughts and experiences in my upcoming blogs :-)
